From what I understand, Japanese sweets ans candy products have a very different sweetness from American candy. By that measure, this holds true to that. This is a simple, quaint matcha taste. It's a subtle sweetness, very little sweetness. It's even a bit bitter. But not a bad bitter, it pairs well with the subtle matcha flavor and sweetness. It's a satisfying candy and I don't feel the need to go back for more and more like most sweet American candy.
